Back when I started to develop my thesis—Into the Skin in 2021, I had the plan to experiment with natural dyeing by collecting color samples from different environments by traveling around cities/countries, which was then interrupted by the global pandemic; This “Natural dyeing/textile map (name is not determined)” concept was to emphasize on harnessing local resources, and exploring the on-site environment and culture via textile (especially weaving) design process. Starting in 2023, I re-activated this project on my initiatives by participating in different art residencies.
